Each year, local business leaders gather on Shop Street for one night to raise funds and awareness for homelessness in Galway. Since the first Sleep Out in 2012, the event has grown in impact and solidarity, raising almost €2 million to date.

COPE Galway provides a range of compassionate and practical services to support individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in Galway City and County.
We work alongside clients and community partners to find sustainable solutions that support each person’s journey out of homelessness and into secure, stable housing.
Emergency & Residential Services
We provide safe, supported accommodation for individuals and families in Galway. These services create the stability people need to take the next steps towards secure, independent housing.
Teach Corrib Day Centre
A welcoming space for people sleeping rough, offering hot meals, showers, laundry, and housing advice. Our street outreach team works alongside individuals to build trust, and meet immediate needs.
Resettlement Services
We work with individuals and families as they move on from emergency accommodation, helping them strengthen their tenancies, connect with community housing, and shape stable futures.
Children’s Services
Children living in emergency accommodation are supported through play, learning, and emotional care. These services nurture resilience, growth, and confidence so that children can thrive despite the challenges they face.
