Help Set a place at the Table this Christmas
Across Galway, people are facing homelessness, domestic abuse and loneliness
In a community as close-knit as ours, in every street, estate and parish, you probably know someone whose life has been touched by COPE Galway, even if you don’t realise it. A woman who found refuge. A neighbour who faced homelessness. An older person who rediscovered friendship.
You help keep vital services open when people have nowhere else to turn. You provide meals, refuge and trusted support for people in crisis. You make sure older neighbours are not forgotten, and you help families rebuild safety and stability after trauma.
This Christmas, will you add an extra place at the table for someone in need?
"I come in to warm up, have a bite, a chat … someone remembering my name. That keeps me going."
– Declan, Homeless Services
"A neighbour convinced me to try a chair yoga class… It’s the chat and the bit of craic that lifts you."
– John, Senior Support Service
"I was so relieved that believed me. If I had stayed, I do not think I would be alive today, that's the truth. "
– Sinead, Domestic Abuse Service
